Friday 13 May, 2016
Almost perfect autumnal weather set the scene for a most enjoyable afternoon and evening last Friday at 'Uncorked'.
As patrons of all ages gathered in the Vine Room to meet friends and enjoy a glass or two of 'Tidswell Wines'; the sun slowly set and the room begun to hum with convivial conversation with fabulous background tunes provided by the DJ. The 'Meet the Maker' masterclass was well received by a small but 'wine savvy' group who were eager to learn more about our wines.
We will definitely be back!

‘Winewise in the City’ at Rigoni’s Bistro
Thursday 14th April
Tidswell Wines recently participated in a tasting event at Rigoni's Bistro, which was the brainchild of Glenn Malycha, from Winewise Consulting, to enable less known boutique wineries to showcase to a new audience in the city.
The inaugural event was held at Rigoni's Bistro in the popular Leigh Street restaurant precinct and a steady flow of inquisitive wine drinkers wandered in on a Thursday evening to be greeted by 6 wineries from various SA regions. There was also a selection of cheese on offer from Section 28 in the Adelaide Hills.
The plan is to hold this on a regular monthly basis, so watch the space....
South East Field Days 2016
18 - 19 March 2016
Always an enjoyable 2 days of food, wine and wares from all over the Limestone Coast, the South-East Field Days, know as the friendly field days are well patronised every year and this year was no exception.
The Lions Club of Lucindale do a wonderful job of bringing the local communities together and organising a fun filled event which all ages can participate in.
Well done again! It's so rewarding to be visited by so many enduring Tidswell Wines advocates, for which we owe our humble appreciation. Thank you for always spreading the good word!
‘Cellar Door Fest’ Adelaide
26 -28 February 2016
This was our fourth year exhibiting at the 'Cellar Door Festival' in Adelaide, which has gained in popularity to become one of South Australia's premier events. Competing with a very busy social calendar, the Cellar Door Fest stands proudly alongside our Arts Festival, bringing locals and tourists alike into our beautiful city over the 3 days it is held.
We loved seeing old friends and introducing new customers to the Tidswell brand and our award winning wines, which were well received. Especially popular this year was the Jennifer magnum competition we held over the festival and the bonus premium wine pourer received by those who made a purchase.
We look forward to next year being even bigger and better as the Festival and Tidswell Wines gain even more of a following...!
Tidswell Wines at ProWein in Dusseldorf, Germany
15 -17 March 2015
Ben stood proudly behind our stand in the 'Wine Australia' section of ProWein in Dusseldorf, Germany; the largest world trade fair for wine and spirits.
There was 5,970 exhibitors from 50 nations with more than 52,000 international visitors...truly mindboggling!
It was a lot of fun mixed in with the hard work and as a result new contacts were made and prospective export markets will be followed up on over the next few months.
Cellar Door Wine Festival Adelaide 2015 - a resounding success!
20 -22 Feb 2015
Last weekend we proudly stood behind our stand at this year's Cellar Door Festival and made lots of new friends while chatting with old ones. It was exciting to show off our new range 'The Publican Series' and to share those great stories behind the labels. Patrons were treated to a tasting of the 2012 Heathfield Reds, to be released in early April. (pre-orders taken)
Introducing ‘The Publican Series’
26 November 2014
A new range of estate wines named 'The Publican Series' was recently launched at a VIP tasting event held at the newly opened Glasshouse Hotel in Adelaide.
The 2014 Wild Violet Sauvignon Blanc and the 2012 Gun Traders Shiraz feature caricatures of publicans on the labels, which are inspired by over 150 years of Tidswell family heritage who stood behind the bar and celebrates not only our ancestry but also South Australia's long, rich and varied hotel culture. It is fair to say the original Tidswells were radicals, rascals and notables and we felt their story was worth sharing. read more...

The annual South-East field Days were a hoot!
21-22 March, 2014
We encountered a mixed bag of weather conditions at the South-east Field Days held recently at Lucindale . However, everyone appeared to enjoy the huge array of goods on offer as well as some spectacular entertainment. This event is always a great one for us to attend, adding to our number of supporters and chatting with valued customers of our brand. A big thankyou to all who visited our stand.
Adelaide Cellar Door Festival 2014

Last weekend in Adelaide, wine lovers were able to indulge in a 'tasting' of significant proportions, when South Australian wineries showcased their wines in a Festival held at The Adelaide Convention Centre. Now in its fourth year and the only indoor festival of its kind in Australia, it appears to be getting bigger and better every year!
This was the second year Tidswell Wines was represented and it definitely is a great way for us to connect directly with existing and potential customers..thank you to all who visited our stand this year and I hope you enjoyed yourselves...hope to see you again next year!!

A+ Australian Wine celebration
19 April, 2013
The inaugural A+ Australian Wine celebration meant an opportunity to entertain a select group of wine lovers in a relaxed environment upstairs in our Cellar Door at Norwood. Thursday evening April 19th, winemaker Ben guided the 16 participants through a vertical tasting of past and present vintages of Heathfield Ridge Cabernet accompanied by an assortment of Limestone Coast cheese. It was serious ‘wine tasting’ business, but everyone enjoyed it immensely and we will definitely be conducting similar events in the future.
